The rate drops to 9.50% above a Rs 10 million monthly average because the State Bank’s minimum savings rate, currently 10.00%, covers only individuals up to that balance (from 1 August 2026). Islamic accounts are different, see below.
From 1 October 2026, every main rupee savings account on Allied Bank’s rate sheet pays the same rate, so pick by how often you want the profit.
| Monthly average balance | Rate |
|---|---|
| Up to Rs 10 million | 10.00% |
| Above Rs 10 million | 9.50% |
On Rs 1 lakh at 10%, that is about Rs 10,000 a year before tax. Banks deduct tax on profit; see tax on bank profit and monthly profit on Rs 1 lakh to 1 crore.
If you can lock money away, the Allied Express Plus 1 term deposit pays 9.50% for one year at maturity, or 9.10% with monthly profit, on the same 1 October 2026 sheet. The Allied Term Plus deposit pays less: 8.50% for one year and 7.75% for five years. For other banks’ term rates, see fixed deposit rates in Pakistan.
Allied Bank’s Islamic branches declare profit after each month ends, so there is no fixed rate. The Allied Islamic Saving Account paid 6.63% for August 2026, 7.65% for July and 6.69% for June. That is well below the 10% on the conventional accounts, because Islamic savings aren’t covered by the State Bank’s minimum-rate rule. For the difference, see Islamic vs conventional banking.
The everyday choice is between two current accounts:
