That means freelancing on Fiverr or Upwork, selling on Daraz, Etsy or Amazon, a YouTube channel, or exporting software. PayPal isn’t available in Pakistan, so the money reaches you by bank transfer or Payoneer. Apps that ask for a deposit first, or pay you to bring in others, fall under what SECP calls unlawful.

Fiverr pays you 80% of each completed order, after the client’s payment clears. It pays Pakistani freelancers through Payoneer, for $1 to $3 a withdrawal. Daraz says there’s no listing fee; it takes a commission on each order that depends on the category. Etsy lists Pakistan as a country where sellers join Etsy Payments with a Payoneer account, and charges a 6.5% + $0.30 payment processing fee per order. Amazon accepts sellers from Pakistan, but doesn’t pay out to Pakistani banks, so sellers use a provider such as Payoneer.

Most local dropshipping is reselling: you sell a supplier’s products and the supplier ships them cash on delivery. Markaz, a Pakistani reseller platform, says most COD orders on it carry about Rs 165 delivery plus a Rs 50 cash-handling fee. If a customer refuses a COD parcel, the seller pays delivery both ways and collects nothing. More in dropshipping in Pakistan.
YouTube, yes. Pakistan is on YouTube’s Partner Program list. You earn from ads after 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 watch hours in 12 months (or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days). AdSense pays once your balance reaches $100. See YouTube and AdSense payment.
TikTok, mostly through brand deals. TikTok’s Creator Rewards Program has terms for eight countries, and Pakistan isn’t one. ProPakistani reported in July 2026 that TikTok LIVE, where gifts are earned, was never launched in Pakistan. See TikTok earning in Pakistan.
Yes, as a company or a freelancer. When a foreign client pays, your bank deducts 0.25% tax if you’re registered with PSEB, or 1% if not. Under SBP rules you can keep 50% of export proceeds or $5,000 a month, whichever is higher, in a dollar account. See software export and PSEB registration.
PayPal isn’t on PayPal’s own list of countries (checked 16 October 2026), so don’t build your plan around it. The routes that work:

We found no SECP, PTA or FIA notice that names “earn by watching ads” or “online typing” apps one by one. What official warnings do describe is the pattern those apps follow:

We found no regulator that endorses any such app. SECP says schemes that take deposits or pay for recruiting people are unlawful, and fake platforms often let you withdraw a small amount first to win your trust.
PTA warned in October 2025 that scammers post fake online job ads to steal money and data. National CERT advises using verified freelancing websites, not job offers from unknown WhatsApp numbers.
