Can I teach on Preply from Pakistan?
Yes. Preply doesn’t accept applications from residents of Iran, Sudan, Cuba, Syria, North Korea and Crimea, and Pakistan isn’t on that list. You must be 18, record an intro video and register on a desktop computer. Degrees and certificates help but aren’t required. Preply can reject a profile if your subject is in low demand, and review takes up to five business days.
You set your own hourly rate. Preply keeps 100% of each trial lesson with a new student. On later lessons it keeps 33% at first, falling to 28% after 20 hours taught and down to 18% as your hours grow.
Getting paid: Preply’s bank transfer option doesn’t list Pakistan, its Wise option doesn’t support rupees, and PayPal isn’t available here. That leaves Payoneer: $20 minimum plus a $1 Payoneer fee, paid in US dollars. Preply also offers Skrill (1% fee), but we couldn’t confirm on Skrill’s own site that it serves Pakistan. See Payoneer in Pakistan for moving the money to your bank.
Can Pakistanis teach English on Cambly?
Only native English speakers. Cambly’s support page lists that as a requirement, along with being 18 and applying from a computer in Google Chrome. No teaching certificate is needed.
Cambly publishes its pay: $0.17 a minute ($10.20 an hour), or $0.20 a minute on Cambly Kids. It pays weekly once you’re owed $20, through a processor it chooses, such as Stripe or PayPal. Cambly also says it is limiting new tutors for now, so expect a wait even if you qualify.
How do italki and Tutopiya work?
italki is for language teaching. You apply as a Professional Teacher, who uploads teaching certificates, or a Community Tutor for conversation practice. Tutopiya recruits tutors in Pakistan for international school subjects. You set your rate and keep all of it; Tutopiya adds its commission on top. It pays monthly through Wise in rupees, and Wise can send rupees to personal (not business) bank accounts in Pakistan. It reported 22 student requests for IGCSE Physics in July to September 2026.

never pay a registration, training or “ID” fee to be hired
