Yes. Pakistan is on YouTube’s list of countries where the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) is available. To earn from ads you need, as of October 2026:
YouTube has a lower entry level (500 subscribers) for its “expanded” programme of fan funding and Shopping. Pakistan isn’t on that country list, so Pakistani channels use the full thresholds above. YouTube says YPP changes from 1 February 2027.
Google’s payment table, as of October 2026:
| Method | Pakistan |
|---|---|
| Wire transfer | Yes |
| Cheque | Yes |
| EFT (bank transfer) | No |
| Hyperwallet | No |
Wire transfer is the one to use. Google says you don’t need to verify your bank account for wires, and a cheque takes two to four weeks just to arrive by post.
Your bank account must be in Pakistan, the country of your payments address. Google won’t accept a bank based elsewhere. Google pays in US dollars or euros depending on your country, and you can’t change the payment currency.
The option appears once your balance passes $10, Google’s payment method selection threshold. Make any changes by the 20th: changes made later wait for the next month’s payment.
For a US dollar account, Google’s thresholds are:
| Threshold | Amount | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Identity verification | $0 | Verify your identity |
| Address verification (PIN) | $10 | Google posts a PIN to your address |
| Payment method selection | $10 | You can add your bank |
| Payment | $100 | You get paid that month |
The PIN letter usually takes about 3 weeks to arrive. You have 4 months from the date it’s generated to enter it, or Google stops showing ads on your pages. Three wrong entries also stop ads, and payouts are held while any hold is on your account.
If the 21st falls on a weekend or holiday, Google issues the payment on the next business day. If a wire hasn’t arrived 15 business days after it was issued, Google says to contact your bank.
Google says it charges nothing to send the money, but your bank may charge fees. The US intermediary bank can also take a cut before the money reaches Pakistan. Ask your bank what it deducts on an inward dollar wire before you choose where to be paid.
Under State Bank of Pakistan rules for export receipts, your bank tags each inward payment with a purpose code based on the nature of the service you declare. We couldn’t confirm which code banks use for AdSense, because SBP’s website blocks automated access. Tell your bank the money is YouTube or AdSense ad revenue, so it’s coded and taxed correctly.
Two deductions can apply:
| Who deducts | Tax | Rate (Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Your Pakistani bank | Section 154B, on social media platform revenue to content creators | 5% filer, 10% non-filer |
| US tax on earnings from US viewers only | 0% to 30%, depending on the US tax treaty |
Pakistan tax. Section 154B came in with the Finance Act 2026 and banks started deducting it on 1 July 2026. Profit (30 June 2026) reports that it covers YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and similar platforms, including money routed through payment intermediaries. Profit says it separates creator income from the concessionary 0.25% rate on IT export proceeds that registered freelancers pay.
For a resident, Profit says the 5% is a minimum tax: you still file a return, and any excess deducted isn’t refunded. To pay 5% instead of 10%, get on the Active Taxpayers List. See how to become a filer.
US tax. Google requires tax info from every monetizing creator. With it, Google withholds only on earnings from US viewers, at 0% to 30% depending on the treaty. Without it, Google may deduct up to 24% of your worldwide earnings. We couldn’t confirm the treaty rate Google applies to Pakistan.
Not as Google describes it. Google’s table for Pakistan offers only wire transfer and cheque, and the bank must be in the same country as your payments address, so a receiving account abroad doesn’t fit. For other ways to receive money from abroad, see freelancer payment methods in Pakistan.
