LDA is the Lahore Development Authority, which approves private housing schemes in Lahore. On 14 October 2026 we downloaded its approved list (400 entries) and all 32 pages of its illegal list (383 entries, uploaded on 29 May 2026) and searched them for Raiwind. Every status on this page is copied from those lists; it is not our judgement.

What is on the Raiwind Road societies list?

Raiwind Road is about 27 km long, from Canal Bank Road past the Thokar Niaz Baig flyover to the Raiwind Bypass flyover. The table below is a selection of the best-known and largest schemes, not all 100 entries. Search LDA’s own list for any scheme that isn’t here.

LDA writes a free-text approval stage on each entry. “Technically approved” is an earlier stage than “finally approved”: AWT Phase-II’s entry, for example, reads “2nd revised layout plan is technically approved”, and Al-Kareem City’s says “Final Approval is not issued yet”. Our LDA approved societies guide explains what each stage requires.

“Lived in” uses the sources behind our reviews. Possession means handover of a developed plot you can build on. Where we found no independent source, we say so.

Which societies are near Bahria Orchard?

LDA records Bahria Orchard Phase-I in Mouza Paji and Raiwind, and some of its other phases on Sharif Medical City Road. A mauza is a revenue village. These approved schemes share a mauza or road with Bahria Orchard on LDA’s list:

  • Government Officers Cooperative Housing Society: Mouza Rakh Paji.
  • Icon Valley: Mouza Paji and Rakh Rai.
  • Al-Kareem City (Ashrafi Town): Raiwind Bypass Road, Mouza Rakh Paji; technically approved only.
  • OPF Town and Chinar Bagh Phase-II: Mouza Rakh Rai.
  • Beaconhouse Estate: Sharif Medical City Road.

Bahria Orchard’s own Phase-II, Phase-IV, Phase-II Extension (Phase V) and Sectors G and H are on LDA’s illegal list. If you are offered a plot “in Bahria Orchard”, ask which phase and sector it is in before anything else. Our Bahria Orchard vs Bahria Town Lahore comparison covers the two side by side.

Bahria Education & Medical City is also in Tehsil Raiwind, but not on Raiwind Road. It is on Sue Asal Road, between Ferozepur Road and Raiwind Road, about 20 km by road from Bahria Orchard. LDA’s approved list has no entry under its name; it does list an “Education City Housing Scheme” on Sua Asal Road (finally approved 7 Nov 2006) without naming its sponsor or linking it to Bahria Town.

Which schemes on Raiwind Road are on LDA’s illegal list?

As of 14 October 2026, LDA’s illegal list (uploaded 29 May 2026) has 26 entries that mention Raiwind. Besides the Bahria Orchard, Al-Kabir, Mid City, Kings Town, Maryam Town and Icon entries above, they include:

  • Arian Garden (next to Sultan Town)
  • Happy Homes (next to Block L, LDA Avenue 1)
  • Gulnishan Park (Mouza Ameerpura)
  • Elegance Homes LSD (next to Eden Palace Villas)
  • Al-Baike LSD and Hammad Garden (Raiwind Bypass)
  • Rana Garden (near Raiwind Flyover) and Mirza Estate (Mouza Raiwind)
  • a land sub-division near Khalis Fiber Mill, and an “Illegal LSD near Raiwind Jn.”
  • New Lahore City Phase-IV (Mouza Sultankey) and Al-Madina Town, both on Sundar-Raiwind Road
  • Makkah Gardens, Bismillah Park and an illegal sub-division opposite the Interloop factory, on Manga-Raiwind Road

LSD here means land sub-division. In July 2023 LDA demolished roads and sewers of illegal sub-divisions on Raiwind Road, including behind Dream Housing and at Almadina Town, Ali Park and Hammad Garden, ProPakistani reported.

What’s being built on Raiwind Road?

These are the road and transport projects we could trace to an official or news source. A project is listed as approved only if a government body approved it; that is not the same as being built.

The rest of the 295 km motorway, beyond the first 18.5 km, has no funding yet: NHA is to look at public-private partnerships, Punjab cost-sharing or loans, as of August 2026. In August 2025 ECNEC was told 90% of the land for package-I had been acquired. Read the full timeline in our Lahore-Sahiwal motorway guide.

For industry, the Punjab government lists Sundar Industrial Estate (1,767 acres, all 717 plots sold) as an existing estate, not a special economic zone. It lists no Raiwind industrial estate or economic zone.

Where the sources disagree

Ring Road SL-III’s cost appears as Rs 17.78 billion when ECNEC approved it in July 2023 and Rs 16.5 billion at its inauguration in February 2024; we use the later figure. The motorway’s cost has also been revised several times; we use ECNEC’s August 2026 figures.
