Which societies sell 5 marla plots on installments in Lahore?

Only sellers that publish dated terms are in this table. “Approval” is copied from LDA’s lists of 25 October 2026, or RUDA’s for RUDA.

Central Park, J Block Rs 74.9 lakh 15% booking + 15% confirmation 12 monthly × Rs 2 lakh, 20% on possession Phase-II finally approved (2021), Phase-II revised and Phase-III approved; LDA doesn’t list blocks

Does LDA sell plots on installments?

Yes, but only by ballot, and only now and then. In 2026 LDA held draws on 24 February, 18 May and 9 September. Winners pay in 12 equal instalments over three years, with 5% off for paying in full.

The 9 September ballot offered 25 five-marla residential plots in Johar Town Block K, 30 five-marla commercial plots in LDA Avenue-I and 40 four-marla commercial plots in LDA City’s Business Bay. It drew 1,520 applications for 95 plots, Zameen reported. For the February draw, the application fee was Rs 20,000 for a Johar Town plot and Rs 10,000 for LDA City, and you could apply on LDA’s app, website or at its Citizen Facilitation Center.

We found no LDA price list for these plots, so we leave prices out. Watch lda.gop.pk for the next round, and see LDA City vs LDA Avenue-I for those two schemes.

Can I get a DHA or Bahria Town plot on installment?

DHA Lahore: we found no DHA Lahore offer of plots on instalments in 2026. DHA Lahore’s website blocked our check on 25 October 2026. “DHA plot on installment” ads come from sellers, so check the file or plot, and what is still owed, with DHA before you pay. See our DHA Lahore review.

Bahria Town Lahore: we found no dated official instalment plan for 2026. On LDA’s list, Bahria Town’s Sectors A to D are finally approved, while Bahria Orchard Phase-II, Phase-II Extension, Phase-IV and Sectors G and H are on the illegal list.

Is a file on installments the same as a plot?

No. A file is a promise of a plot before a plot number is allotted. LDA told buyers in December 2020 to buy plots rather than files. From 1 July 2026, LDA and the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) say a PLRA Property Certificate is the only legal proof of ownership in Lahore’s housing schemes, and LDA said file-based deals would no longer be allowed under its jurisdiction.

Officials cited schemes selling more files than they had approved plots. So for any instalment plan, ask when you get a plot number, and whether the plot will come with a Property Certificate.

What are the risks of buying a plot on installments?

  • Unapproved blocks. A finally approved scheme can sell a newer phase that isn’t approved. Check the phase and block, not the brand.
  • Ballots. Plans with a “ballot amount” mean you don’t yet have a plot number or location.
  • Cancellation. In October 2024, Al-Kabir told Downtown members to clear down payments by a deadline or risk cancellation with no refund. RUDA publishes lists of cancelled plots in Chahar Bagh.
  • Extra charges. RUDA’s Reva prices exclude development charges and taxes. Many plans end with a large possession payment.
  • Mortgaged plots. LDA tells buyers to get the list of the 20% of a scheme’s plots mortgaged to it, and to make sure theirs isn’t one.

How do I check before paying the first instalment?

  1. Search the scheme, phase and mauza on LDA’s approved and illegal lists at lda.gop.pk, or use our society approval check. Along the Ravi, check RUDA’s lists instead.
  2. Ask the developer for the approval letter and the approved map, and confirm your block is inside it.
  3. Ask for the list of plots mortgaged to LDA and confirm yours isn’t one, as LDA advises.
  4. Get the full payment schedule in writing, including confirmation, balloon, ballot and possession payments and the late-payment rules.
  5. Ask whether the plot will be transferred through a PLRA Property Certificate.
