Both are DHA Lahore Phase IX, with the same legal standing; the difference is what you buy and when you can build. 9 Town is mostly 5 marla, next to Phase 6, with possession since 2015; a 5 marla plot averaged about Rs 1.32 crore in September 2026. Prism is mostly 1 kanal, on the Ring Road, with possession rolling out since May 2022; its 5 marla average was about Rs 92.3 lakh. The table above compares both on our seven criteria.
Both fall under DHA Lahore, a statutory authority under Order No. 26 of 2002 that approves its own plans, so LDA approval doesn’t apply. We found no land dispute specific to 9 Town. For Prism, Zameen read an unofficial map in 2015 as showing village pockets inside the boundary that DHA hadn’t acquired; we found no court case or later report on them. Our DHA Lahore review covers DHA’s legal basis.
9 Town: possession in Blocks A to D since July 2015 (6,658 residential plots, as Zameen reported citing DHA) and Block E since 15 May 2023. DHA’s later notices are small top-ups.
Prism: balloted in May 2015, with DHA promising in 2016 to finish development in four years. The first possession came on 13 May 2022 (Sectors Q and R, 3,130 plots), and DHA has opened sectors one by one since, most recently Sector N on 22 September 2026. We found no notice for Sectors B, C or K.
Possession goes by plot number, so a plot in an “open” sector may still not have it. Check yours on DHA’s possession page.

From June 2021 to September 2026, 9 Town’s average 5 marla asking price rose 80% and Prism’s 74%. Both dipped first: 9 Town from its 2022-23 peak to about Rs 97 lakh in December 2024, and Prism by about 17% from mid-2023 to late 2024. Both reached records in September 2026.
For 10 marla, 9 Town averaged about Rs 2.33 crore and Prism about Rs 1.62 crore. Most Prism plots are 1 kanal, which averaged about Rs 2.78 crore in September 2026. 9 Town has few 1 kanal plots, and Zameen’s 1 kanal figure for it isn’t reliable, so we don’t compare them.
Neither is well documented. For 9 Town, Zameen’s undated guide reports a grid station in Block A, and houses are built and rented, which means power is there. For Prism, underground electricity and a dual water supply were promised in 2016, and we found no confirmation of either. Neither phase has an SNGPL source on gas.
9 Town sits next to DHA Phase 6, with access from Bedian Road and Askari XI, about 13 km by road from the airport. Prism is south of it, with the Ring Road on its western edge, which makes it quicker to reach the west of the city: about 23 km to Thokar Niaz Baig, against about 28 km from 9 Town. The map pin for Prism is its Ring Road interchange, not its centre.
Prism has the bigger market: 3,517 plots listed on Zameen on 7 October 2026, against 924 in 9 Town. That’s more choice for buyers, and more competition for sellers. Both use DHA’s transfer process, at Rs 10,000 per marla.

Partly. DHA opened possession sector by sector from 13 May 2022 (Sectors Q and R) to 22 September 2026 (Sector N). We found no possession notice for Sectors B, C or K. Check your plot number on DHA's possession page.
