Which works best from Pakistan: Temu, AliExpress or Shein?

On what we could check, Temu is the only one of the three with a Pakistan site we could read. This is how they compare, as of 21 Oct 2026:

Temu AliExpress Shein
Pakistan site Yes, temu.com/pk Not checked (help pages returned errors) Couldn’t open one
Shipping Free standard, 5 to 13 business days Budget routes stopped from 7 Jul 2025 (ProPakistani) Not confirmed

Temu’s site is read through its own Pakistan pages. The AliExpress lines come from 2025 news reports, because we couldn’t open AliExpress’s own help pages.

Is Temu cash on delivery available in Pakistan?

Not on Temu’s own site. The “We accept” list on temu.com/pk shows JazzCash, easypaisa, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Maestro, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash on delivery isn’t among them, as of 21 Oct 2026.

So you pay before the parcel ships. If you don’t have a card that works abroad, see our guide to virtual cards in Pakistan. We couldn’t find a JazzCash or easypaisa fee schedule that covers paying Temu, so check the amount your wallet deducts.

How long does Temu take to deliver in Pakistan?

Temu’s Pakistan shipping page says:

  • Standard shipping is free on all orders and takes 5 to 13 business days.
  • Processing takes 1 to 3 days before the parcel ships.
  • A local carrier may handle the last leg, so tracking may not show every step.
  • If a parcel doesn’t arrive, tell Temu within 90 days of the order date.

Temu has run in Pakistan since September 2024, when ProPakistani reported its launch with web and phone apps.

Do you pay customs on Temu, AliExpress or Shein parcels?

It depends on the parcel’s value. Under section 19C of the Customs Act, as amended up to 30 June 2026, no duties or taxes are charged on goods that come by post or courier and are worth up to Rs 1,000. The Finance Act 2025 set that figure. Above Rs 1,000, customs can charge duty and taxes on the parcel.

Arab News reported on 8 July 2025 that couriers collect 18% sales tax on goods they deliver for foreign platforms such as Temu, Shein and AliExpress. The same report gave the duty-free limit as Rs 500. FBR’s own copy of the Customs Act says Rs 1,000, and we follow the Act.

Temu’s Pakistan terms say you are the importer. You let Temu appoint a freight forwarder to pay duty and sales tax for you, any tax taken at checkout is an estimate, and if customs assesses more, you pay it. Import tax isn’t refunded on a return unless the return is Temu’s fault.

What does a card add to a Rs 10,000 order?

Two things: your bank’s international transaction fee, and advance tax under section 236Y. FBR’s rate card says the tax is 0.5% if you are on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) and 1% if you aren’t. You can adjust it against your income tax.

Worked out from each card’s current fee schedule (HBL and UBL for July to December 2026; SadaPay’s checked 15 Oct 2026):

Card Card fee Advance tax (filer) Extra on Rs 10,000
HBL Visa or Mastercard debit 4% (Rs 400) Rs 50 Rs 450
UBL WIZ virtual card 4.5% (Rs 450) Rs 50 Rs 500
SadaPay virtual card 6% (Rs 600) Rs 50 Rs 650

Bank fees are before FED or sales tax, which the schedules add on top. A non-filer pays Rs 100 tax instead of Rs 50. SadaPay says rupee-priced payments to foreign shops count as international transactions. HBL and UBL don’t say how they treat them, so expect the fee even when Temu shows rupees.

SBP caps card spending abroad at US$30,000 a year per person across all your banks, counting from 1 November. To compare more cards, see credit cards in Pakistan compared.

Can you return a Temu order in Pakistan?

Yes. Temu’s Pakistan refund policy, updated 23 March 2026, says:

  1. You have 90 days from purchase to start a return, then 14 days to send it.
  2. The first return from each order is free. CPEX logistics picks it up from your door.
  3. More returns from the same order cost Rs 612, taken from your refund.
  4. Worn or washed clothes, food, some personal care items, some free gifts and some custom items can’t be returned.
  5. A refund to your card or wallet takes 5 to 14 business days, up to 30. Temu credit is faster but can’t be cashed out.

What happened to AliExpress shipping to Pakistan?

AliExpress told sellers in July 2025 that it had moved Pakistan and Sri Lanka routes to “offline processing” after new customs rules, ProPakistani reported. From 7 July 2025, sellers could no longer choose budget routes such as AliExpress Standard Shipping and Cainiao for Pakistan. The Nation reported that sellers moved to dearer couriers, which pushed prices up.

In October 2025, ProPakistani reported that AliExpress was showing a separate tax amount at checkout for Pakistani buyers. In one example, a US$36.96 order carried US$25.87 in tax, a total of US$62.83. Temu showed no tax line at the time.

We couldn’t open AliExpress’s own help pages, so we can’t confirm its current shipping options, whether it offers cash on delivery in Pakistan or how it charges tax in 2026. Check the delivery cost and the “Tax” line at checkout before you pay.

Does Shein deliver to Pakistan?

We couldn’t confirm it. On 21 Oct 2026, Shein’s website sent us to its US and Japan stores, and the Pakistan address we tried didn’t open. We found no Shein page for Pakistan on delivery, payment, cash on delivery or returns. If you order, the same customs rule applies: duty and taxes can be charged on parcels over Rs 1,000.

If you plan to resell what you buy, read dropshipping in Pakistan for how it works and the tax you pay.
