How do I get the JS Bank annual fee cut?

Spend the amount in the table within 1 month of activating the card, then call the call centre. The Key Fact Statement says the fee applies from the first year and is reduced once you’ve met the retail spending. It is a cut, not a full waiver: Classic still costs Rs 1,200.

Supplementary cards work the same way. Classic drops from Rs 2,000 to Rs 1,000 on Rs 25,000 of spending, and Signature from Rs 8,000 to Rs 7,200 on Rs 1.5 lakh.

If your salary goes into a JS Bank account through Employee Banking, the first year’s fee is reversed with no spending rule. The card must be activated and your first salary credited within three months of the card being issued.
