For the customer, paying by QR is free on both.

What does a JazzCash merchant account cost?

These are the merchant fees in Mobilink Microfinance Bank’s JazzCash schedule for 1 July to 30 September 2026, the latest we could find: no October to December schedule was on the bank’s site on 20 Oct 2026. JazzCash says it may charge less than these, or up to them.

How the customer pays you JazzCash fee to you
Raast QR or till 0.25% incl. FED
Other QR or till payments Up to 2.5% incl. FED
Customer to merchant payment 0.75%
From a JazzCash account 2% incl. FED

On Rs 100,000 of monthly sales, that is Rs 250 if every customer pays by Raast QR, and up to Rs 2,500 at the 2.5% rate. Ask JazzCash which rate your QR code is on before you print it.

Running the account costs little. Registration, maintenance, SMS alerts and the MPIN are free. A Mastercard debit card for merchants costs Rs 799; a PayPak card costs Rs 999 plus Rs 299 a year.

How do I move money from a JazzCash business account to my bank?

The same schedule makes transfers to any bank account free up to Rs 50,000 a month. After that, each transfer costs 0.1% or Rs 200, whichever is less. Transfers to another JazzCash account are free.

For cash, withdrawing at a JazzCash agent is free, and ATM withdrawals are free up to Rs 50,000, then charged by slab. Depositing cash into the business account at an agent or branch costs 0.5%. The app also has a scheduled settlement setting that moves your funds to your account automatically.

Above Rs 50,000 a month, compare that 0.1% with a business bank account that takes Raast payments directly.

How do I register a JazzCash merchant account?

JazzCash’s business page (archived 7 August 2026) says any Pakistani with a valid CNIC who runs a business can apply. The CNIC is the only document it says is always needed; more may be asked for depending on the business type. You can keep a personal account and a business account on the same CNIC.

JazzCash Business sign-up
  1. You Open the JazzCash Business app Enter your mobile number and the SMS code
  2. You Scan your CNIC Front and back, then the CNIC number and issue date
  3. You Live photo and biometric check The photo is matched with your CNIC
  4. You Add business details and an MPIN Then a second SMS code
  5. JazzCash Approves and issues a Raast QR Final approval may need extra checks

JazzCash says basic sign-up takes a few minutes. We couldn’t open jazzcash.com.pk directly (it blocks automated checks), so these steps come from the archived page.

How does an easypaisa merchant account work?

easypaisa turns your wallet into a merchant account inside the app. Its merchant page (last readable copy, September 2025) said an individual or sole proprietor can sign up in 2 to 3 minutes and start taking QR payments at once. The steps were: tap “become an easypaisa merchant”, accept, fill in the KYC form and submit.

That page listed Rs 500,000 a month for receiving and sending. It also mentioned “Rs. 500,000 & Rs.50,000 monthly limits” without saying what the Rs 50,000 covers. Check both limits in the app before you rely on them.

We found no merchant fee for easypaisa QR or till payments in any easypaisa source. Its October to December 2026 schedule lists QR and till payments as free for the customer, but it has no merchant fee table. For ordinary accounts, bank transfers above Rs 25,000 a month cost 0.1% or Rs 200, whichever is lower. Ask easypaisa for its merchant rates in writing.

Since January 2025, easypaisa has been a licensed digital bank. JazzCash runs its wallets with Mobilink Microfinance Bank. For the consumer side of both apps, see Easypaisa vs JazzCash.

Can I take JazzCash or easypaisa payments on my website?

Yes, through each company’s online payment gateway, which is a separate sign-up from the QR merchant account.

easypaisa’s online gateway (page archived January 2026) charges no setup or annual fee. Per payment, it charges 1% when the customer pays from an easypaisa account and 2% when they pay with a token at an easypaisa shop, including taxes. Wallet payments settle daily and instantly; shop token payments take 7 working days.

You need a live website or app, an online application with documents, and KYC checks. easypaisa lists plugins for WordPress/WooCommerce, OpenCart, Magento and PrestaShop, and its business support line is 62632.

JazzCash’s schedule charges 3% on payment links. We couldn’t confirm its website gateway rates or documents. For Shopify stores, see Shopify payment gateways in Pakistan.

Is Raast QR cheaper for a shop than a wallet QR?

For your customers, yes: SBP’s Raast rules say banks and wallets must not charge customers for Raast QR payments, and merchants must not add a fee. Since March 2024, SBP has required every bank, microfinance bank and wallet app to scan Raast QR codes, so customers aren’t limited to one wallet.

For you, SBP allows the provider to charge merchants a reasonable fee. Under SBP’s 2025 subsidy, which covered payments from 1 September 2025 to 30 June 2026, providers could charge merchants up to 0.25%. JazzCash’s July to September 2026 schedule still lists 0.25% for Raast QR, after the subsidy period. We found no SBP notice extending the subsidy, or its 0.25% cap, past June 2026.

If you register the business, see how to register a sole proprietorship. For tax on cash withdrawals, see filer vs non-filer.
