Which countries are visa free for Pakistani passport holders?
These 11 destinations need no visa at all for Pakistani passports, according to Henley Passport Index data checked on 17 October 2026. Apart from Rwanda, we have not confirmed them with each government:
Region
Visa-free destinations
Caribbean
Barbados, Dominica, Haiti, Montserrat, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago
Pacific

We checked Rwanda on its own immigration site. Officially it is a visa on arrival, not visa-free: since 1 January 2018 every nationality can get one, and the fee is waived for 30-day visits by citizens of Commonwealth countries, which include Pakistan. For the other ten we could not open the official immigration pages, so the list rests only on Henley’s data.
The Pakistani passport scores low. Henley ranked it 101st in July 2026 with a score of 29, against India’s 55, Bangladesh’s 35 and Nepal’s 34 (Aaj News). Henley’s history shows the score falling from 34 in 2024 and 33 in 2025.

Which countries only need an online ETA?
An ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) is a short online form you fill before you fly. Pakistanis need one for three places:
Sri Lanka: from 25 May 2026 Pakistan is one of 40 countries whose citizens get a tourist ETA free of charge for 30 days. Every foreign visitor still needs the ETA before arrival, and staying longer than 30 days means paying the extension fee.
Kenya: Pakistan is not on any of Kenya’s exemption lists, so you need an eTA. The fee starts at US$30. Apply at least 2 weeks before travel; most applications take about 3 days. Kenya says an eTA is not a final permission to enter: the border officer decides.
Seychelles: listed by Henley as an ETA destination (17 October 2026). We couldn’t read the requirements on the official portal, so this is not officially confirmed.
Visa free countries for Pakistan in Asia
No Asian country is fully visa-free for Pakistanis, but these are the easiest, as of October 2026:
No visa in advance: Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka (above). Henley also lists Cambodia and Timor-Leste as visa on arrival.
Thailand: apply online at thaievisa.go.th. The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad’s FAQ (updated March 2025) says you must be in Pakistan while applying and upload proof of your address, such as a utility bill or rental agreement. You pay the fee in cash at the embassy in Islamabad, and it takes about 14 working days. Fake tickets or hotel bookings get you rejected and can get you blacklisted.
Malaysia: eVisa through the Immigration Department of Malaysia. ARY News reported in September 2024 that it allows stays of up to 30 days, is valid for six months and usually takes 1-3 business days. We couldn’t open the official eVisa page to check today’s fee.
UAE: Pakistanis need a visa before travelling. The UAE’s government portal (updated July 2026) points to ICP and airline visa services such as Emirates, Etihad and flydubai.
Qatar: visa on arrival for Pakistanis was suspended on 31 March 2026, after an advisory from Pakistan’s embassy in Doha, according to an EY tax alert of 1 April 2026. We couldn’t find a Qatari government notice, and found no notice restoring it. Check with your airline or Qatar’s embassy before you book.
Henley’s data (17 October 2026) also lists Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Georgia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Singapore, Tajikistan and Vietnam as countries where Pakistanis can apply online. We couldn’t open Azerbaijan’s or Indonesia’s official e-visa sites to confirm fees and stay lengths.
