| 5 kW on-grid | Rs 5.6 to 7.6 lakh | Rs 6 to 8.5 lakh (Aston Energy, 29 Jul 2026); Rs 6.5 to 8.5 lakh (Hajvery Solar, 22 Jun 2026); Rs 7.5 to 10 lakh (PV.com.pk, 5 Aug 2026) |
| 5 kW hybrid, 5 kWh battery | Rs 7.6 to 11.1 lakh | Rs 8.5 to 11.5 lakh (Hajvery Solar); Rs 9 to 13 lakh (Aston Energy); Rs 11 to 13 lakh (Toolsfluent, Q2 2026) |
| 10 kW on-grid | Rs 10.3 to 13.0 lakh | Rs 9.5 to 12 lakh (Toolsfluent, Jul 2026); Rs 13 to 20 lakh (JBMS, 7 Oct 2026, type not stated) |
| 10 kW hybrid, 16 kWh battery | Rs 16.1 to 19.8 lakh | Rs 16 to 18 lakh with a 15 kWh battery (Toolsfluent, Jul 2026) |
Published 5 kW on-grid prices run from Rs 5.5 lakh (Toolsfluent’s figure for tier-2 panels and a budget inverter) to Rs 10 lakh. Our estimate sits in the lower half because it uses October 2026 dealer prices and leaves out installer margin.
Not sure which size you need? Our guide on what size solar system you need works it out from your bill. As a rough guide, Toolsfluent puts a 3 kW system at about 400 to 450 units a month, averaged across seasons.

How we built it:
An on-grid system has panels and an inverter, and sends spare power to your DISCO (your electricity distribution company). A hybrid system adds a battery and a hybrid inverter, so you pay for storage on top.
The battery is the big jump. A 5 kWh lithium battery cost about Rs 2.3 lakh in Karachi on 1 Jul 2026, according to ARY News. By 20 Sep 2026, Pakistan Connect reported 5 kWh batteries at Rs 1.95 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh and 16 kWh models at Rs 5.75 lakh to Rs 6.8 lakh, after drops of Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
These are the main reasons quotes for the same size differ:
Sources also disagree with each other. Toolsfluent’s July 2026 guide used panels at Rs 28 to Rs 33 per watt, well below the Rs 44 to Rs 50 per watt on the October 2026 dealer list. We used the newer dealer list.
New solar connections now get net billing under NEPRA’s Prosumer Regulations 2026. You bear all interconnection costs, including the meter and any grid upgrades, according to Geo News on 10 Feb 2026. Spare power is bought back at the national average energy purchase price, which Geo put at about Rs 11 per unit, and your system can’t be larger than your sanctioned load.
The rules first added a Rs 1,000 per kW fee. NEPRA dropped it for systems up to 25 kW on 28 Apr 2026, backdated to 9 Feb (Dawn), so only bigger systems still pay it once. We couldn’t open NEPRA’s website or Business Recorder’s report to check these details against the original text.
Toolsfluent priced net meter and DISCO paperwork at Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 for 3 kW and Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 for 10 kW in July 2026. Ask whether a quote includes it. The full process is in our net metering guide.
