Punjab is running two rounds this financial year. Dawn reported 19,500 tractors in total and Rs 17.6 billion set aside for the scheme.
| Round | Tractors | Horsepower | Subsidy per tractor | Minimum land owned | Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Phase IV | 10,000 | 50 to 65 hp | Rs 7.5 lakh | 5 acres | 19 Aug to 5 Sep 2026 |

The subsidy is not a loan, but it doesn’t cover the whole price. If you win the ballot, you pay your share of the tractor price, plus the registration fee, card fee, number plate fee and transfer fee, within the deadline in your allotment letter. We couldn’t find an official price list for each model, so check the price with the Agriculture (Extension) office.
Dawn reported that the programme had already provided 24,000 tractors.
The Phase 5 application form sets these rules:
The Agriculture Department can check your land and details through the revenue record or a field visit. Land is checked against PLRA records; see our guide to checking your fard online in Punjab if you aren’t sure your land is on record.
These steps come from the department’s advertisement, press releases and the Phase 5 form. The gts.punjab.gov.pk portal refused our connection on 18 October 2026, so we couldn’t check its status page or ballot results.
Demand is far higher than supply. For Phase IV, 213,637 farmers applied, and 128,757 were declared eligible after PLRA and NADRA checks, Dawn reported, for 10,000 tractors. Each district’s quota depends on its share of cultivated land.
Winners must act fast. The department’s 8 October 2026 press release told Phase IV winners to collect their offer letter by 15 October 2026, or their allotment would be cancelled. In Phase III, APP reported that tractors not paid for in time went to farmers on the waiting list.

Not for at least 3 years. The tractor stays registered in your name, and selling it earlier is an offence: you would have to repay the subsidy.
No. The Phase 5 form says farmers who got a tractor in earlier phases, the wheat campaign or production competitions can't apply. Kissan Card dealers can't apply either.
