# Umrah from Pakistan: visa, package cost and how to book (2026)

An **Umrah visa from Pakistan** comes as part of a package: a Saudi Umrah company arranges your hotels and transport through the Saudi ministry's systems, including Nusuk, its pilgrimage platform, and the visa comes with the package. You book through a Pakistani agent, and since July 2026 the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) says to use **only companies on its attested list**. Agency packages in October 2026 start at about **Rs 285,500** for 7 days with flights. The last visa of this season is issued on **9 March 2027**.

## How do I get an Umrah visa from Pakistan?

Saudi Arabia's Umrah system works through two links. Overseas agents are registered with Saudi Umrah companies through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's online system, and those companies contract the hotels, transport and catering that make up each package. Your Pakistani operator sits at the first link.

1. **Pick an attested operator.** Check the company on MoRA's [List of Attested Umrah Tour Operators](https://mora.gov.pk/Detail/ZjJmZDdkMmYtYWVlOS00YjY5LWI1MzctNTgyOTIxNzlhZmJl). MoRA said on 15 July 2026 that it will only take complaints against certified companies; if you book with an unregistered one, the risk is yours.
2. **Get your vaccines.** Meningitis ACYW at least 10 days before you land, and a polio dose (see below).
3. **Choose a package.** Compare dates, hotel distance from the Haram, room sharing and whether flights are included.
4. **Pay through a bank.** MoRA tells pilgrims to pay only through banking channels and keep the receipt and contract.
5. **Receive your visa and bookings.** Carry your return ticket and hotel booking: in February 2025 the FIA offloaded women at Karachi airport travelling for Umrah without them, ARY News reported.
6. **Get your Umrah permit on Nusuk.** Since 1 June 2026, entry to Makkah and Umrah permits are handled through Nusuk.

## Can I get an Umrah visa without a package?

We couldn't confirm a way for a Pakistani to apply alone. Nusuk's own package site sells "comprehensive packages" that include the visa, and packages without a visa for GCC citizens, residents and people who already hold another Saudi visa. It says packages depend on "the available countries for individual Umrah according to the ministry's regulations", but doesn't say whether Pakistan is one of them.

Some agents sell a cheaper "visa only" option. Trips.pk quoted **Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000** in October 2026, depending on whether transport is included. That is an agent's price, not the Saudi government fee, which we couldn't find on an official page.

## What does Umrah from Pakistan cost in 2026?

Prices depend on the number of nights, the hotels' distance from the Haram and how many people share a room. These are agency prices we checked on 18 October 2026, per person, with return flights, visa, hotels and transport:

Trips.pk's 7-day economy price was **Rs 289,000+** from Karachi, **Rs 291,500+** from Islamabad, **Rs 295,000+** from Peshawar and **Rs 334,500+** from Quetta, and its 5-star packages started at **Rs 376,850**. Amax Travel's prices exclude meals.

We list these to show the range, not to recommend either agency. We couldn't search MoRA's list to check whether they are attested, so check any agency there yourself.

## When is the Umrah season 2026-27?

Umrah can be done at any time of year, but visas run on a season calendar. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the 1448 AH dates on 17 May 2026:

One news report gave September 2026 deadlines; we follow the ministry's announcement. Agency pages may still show last season's dates, so check the year.

## Which vaccines do I need for Umrah from Pakistan?

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health sets the rules. The latest version we found is for 1447H (2026), so check with your operator for updates:

- **Meningitis (ACYW):** required for every pilgrim. A conjugate vaccine counts for 5 years and a polysaccharide vaccine for 3 years, given at least 10 days before arrival. If the certificate doesn't name the vaccine type, it counts for 3 years only.
- **Polio:** everyone arriving from Pakistan needs at least one dose of oral polio vaccine (bOPV) or injected polio vaccine (IPV), whatever their age. The ministry recommends OPV within 6 months, or IPV within 12 months, and at least 4 weeks before you arrive.
- **COVID-19:** pilgrims over 65, pregnant women and people with chronic heart, lung or kidney disease and some other conditions need proof of vaccination or immunity.

## What if my Umrah operator lets me down?

Umrah companies are regulated under the **Hajj and Umrah (Regulation) Act 2024**. It makes the organizer liable for negligence or default that causes you hardship in breach of your agreement. Complaints go to a complaint disposal committee, with an appeal to an appellate committee, and an operator's licence can be suspended or cancelled and its bank guarantee forfeited.

That protection depends on the company being registered, which is why the attested list matters. Keep your contract and bank receipt.

**Flying to Jeddah? Put on Ihram first:** The Saudi ministry says King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah is not a Miqat. If you fly in, enter Ihram at the Miqat or the point parallel to it, which means before landing.
