## Summary

As of 9 Oct 2026, two price trackers list N-type panels from Longi, Jinko, JA, Canadian, Trina and Aiko at about Rs 39 to Rs 46 per watt. A 585 W panel costs about Rs 24,000 to Rs 25,750. ## What is the price of a 585 watt solar panel by brand?

Tracker A is pakistansolarprices.com (dealers in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, "last verified September 2026"). Tracker B is solarpanelpriceinpakistan.online (Lahore wholesale markets, at least two dealers per brand, dated 9 Oct 2026).

| Brand and model | Tracker A | Tracker B |
|---|---|---|
| Longi Hi-MO 7 / Hi-MO X7, 585 W | Rs 42/W, Rs 24,570 | Rs 42.75/W, Rs 25,008 |
| Jinko N-type / Tiger Neo, 585 W | Rs 41/W, Rs 23,985 | Rs 43.45/W, Rs 25,418 |
| JA N-type bifacial, 585 to 590 W | Rs 42/W, Rs 24,780 | Rs 42.50/W, Rs 24,862 |
| Canadian Solar N-type, 585 to 590 W | Rs 44/W, Rs 25,740 | Rs 41.75/W, Rs 24,632 |
| Trina N-type, 580 to 595 W | Rs 39/W, Rs 22,620 | Rs 42.15/W, Rs 24,657 |
| Inverex Mustang TOPCon, 585 W | not listed | Rs 43/W, Rs 25,155 |

The two trackers disagree by about Rs 2 to Rs 3 per watt on some brands. Canadian Solar is the dearest on Tracker A and the cheapest on Tracker B. Treat any single price as a starting point and get two or three dealer quotes.

## What do bigger 640 W to 770 W panels cost?

| Brand and model | Tracker A | Tracker B |
|---|---|---|
| Longi Hi-MO X10, 640 to 650 W | Rs 43.50/W, Rs 28,057 | Rs 42/W, Rs 27,300 |
| Jinko 725 W | Rs 43/W, Rs 31,175 | Rs 40.50/W, Rs 29,064 |
| JA 705 W / 720 W | Rs 43/W, Rs 30,315 | Rs 39.75/W, Rs 28,620 |
| Canadian 705 W / 715 W | Rs 45/W, Rs 31,725 | Rs 41/W, Rs 29,110 |
| Trina 720 to 725 W | Rs 40.50 to Rs 42/W | Rs 39.30/W, Rs 28,492 |
| Aiko Stellar 770 W | Rs 45/W, Rs 34,650 | Rs 44.15/W, Rs 33,995 |

Tracker A lists some panels twice at different prices, such as the Trina 725 W at both Rs 42 and Rs 40.50 per watt. We show both.

On Tracker B, two panel prices don't match the per-watt rate: Rs 40.50 × 725 W is Rs 29,363, not Rs 29,064, and Rs 41 × 715 W is Rs 29,315, not Rs 29,110. We show them as listed.

Which brand is actually better is a separate question. See our guide to the [best solar panels in Pakistan](/solar/guides/best-solar-panels-pakistan/).

## Do panel prices differ by city?

A little. The Lahore tracker gives these ranges for A-grade documented panels, without saying how it collected them:

| City | Rs per watt |
|---|---|
| Karachi | 37 to 43 |
| Lahore | 38 to 46 |
| Multan | 38 to 45 |
| Faisalabad | 39 to 45 |
| Rawalpindi | 39 to 46 |
| Peshawar | 40 to 45 |
| Islamabad | 40 to 47 |
| Quetta | 40 to 47 |

## Why did solar panel prices go up in 2026?

Prices rose through the first half of 2026, peaked in June and eased by October:

Three things drove it, according to the reports:

- **Silver and copper.** Higher global prices raised the factory price of Chinese panels, which make up most panels sold in Pakistan (Daily Pakistan, 18 Jan 2026; Nukta, 10 Jun 2026).
- **Tax fears.** Panels carry a **10% sales tax**, added in 2025. Before the 2026-27 budget, the government considered raising it to 18%, and dealers held back stock (pv magazine and Nukta, 10 Jun 2026). Panel prices jumped by Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,000 each.
- **The tax rise didn't happen.** FBR said the 2026-27 budget added no new tax on solar. By 1 July 2026, ARY News reported Karachi panels at about Rs 45 per watt, down from about Rs 50 a few days earlier.

We couldn't read the Finance Act 2026 text itself, so the 10% rate rests on FBR's statement as reported.

## How do I avoid overpaying or buying a fake A-grade panel?

**B-grade panels sold as A-grade:** In 2024 a LONGi official told ARY News that traders were selling B-grade and C-grade panels as genuine ones. In the US in 2020, Jinko found that "discount" modules were sometimes B-grade stock with no warranty.

- **Ask for the paperwork.** Dealers call a panel "Tier 1 documented" when it comes with the maker's datasheet, a warranty card and a traceable batch number.
- **Check the serial number before you pay.** The Lahore tracker advises checking each serial number or QR code on the manufacturer's authenticity site.
- **Check the cell type on the label.** The same tracker warns about P-type panels sold as N-type, which sell for less per watt on the lists above.
- **Read the warranty terms.** At its October 2024 launch, Jinko's Tiger Neo 3.0 came with a 12/25-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty, and was designed for 1% output loss in the first year and 0.4% a year after that.
- **Be wary of a price well below the ranges above.** Buy from an authorised dealer, as the solar firm CEO quoted by ARY News advised.
