Faisal Town Lahore costs far less than Gulberg: in **August 2026** the average asking price of a **10 marla house was Rs 4.8 crore** and a 5 marla house Rs 3.11 crore, Zameen Index shows. A 10 marla house rented for **Rs 2.02 lakh a month**, up 30% in a year. FBR values a residential marla in Faisal Town at **Rs 15.89 lakh** for tax.

This page is about Faisal Town in Gulberg Tehsil, Lahore, union council 128. It is not [Faisal Town F-18 in Islamabad](/property/islamabad/faisal-town-islamabad/), which Zameen tracks as a separate locality. FBR's Lahore table also has separate rows for Al Faisal Town and two other places called Faisal Town, in Gajjumatta and Theh Punju, with far lower values.

## Where is Faisal Town Lahore?

FBR lists Faisal Town under Gulberg Town in its Lahore valuation table. Wikipedia describes four residential blocks, A to D, with the largest market in C Block, known as the Civic Centre. The FAST National University Lahore campus gives its address as Block-B, Faisal Town.

LDA runs town planning here: news reports of its sealing drives describe Faisal Town as one of the "LDA-controlled areas". We couldn't find an official record of who developed Faisal Town or when. LDA's online list of its own schemes had 19 entries on 17 October 2026 and left out Faisal Town, but it also left out Gulberg and [Johar Town](/property/lahore/johar-town-lahore/), so the list is incomplete.

Two similar names are on LDA's illegal list (checked 14 October 2026): a **"Faisal Town Phase-II"** off Ferozepur Road and a **"Faisal town Land Sub-Division"** in Mouza Thai Panju. We found nothing linking either to Faisal Town's Blocks A to D, so if a seller offers a plot in a "Faisal Town" phase or extension, check the name with our [society approval check](/property/tools/society-approval-check/).

## What does a house in Faisal Town Lahore cost?

The 10 marla house series is the most reliable: it moves every month. The others stayed exactly flat for months, which usually means few listings. The 5 marla average sat at Rs 2.69 crore from September 2025 to April 2026, and the 1 kanal house and 10 marla plot averages did not move from June 2025 to April 2026. So the big 5 marla jump may say more about which houses were listed than about the market.

Two years earlier, in August 2024, the 1 kanal house average was Rs 9.83 crore, so it rose 21% in two years. The 10 marla house average was Rs 4.53 crore then, so it rose about 6%. Zameen had no 1 kanal plot data for Faisal Town when we checked on 17 October 2026.

For comparison, a 10 marla house in [Gulberg Lahore](/property/lahore/gulberg-lahore/) averaged Rs 7.9 crore in August 2026.

The 10 marla rent series moves month to month; the 5 marla and 1 kanal series were flat for long stretches, so treat them with more care. We found no reliable average for portions or flats.

## What is the FBR value of property in Faisal Town?

FBR's valuation table sets the minimum value used for income tax when you buy or sell. Lahore's table is S.R.O. 1722(I)/2024 of 29 October 2024. FBR amended it on 19 May 2026 (S.R.O. 876(I)/2026), but only for DHA rows, so the Faisal Town values below still apply as of October 2026.

Built-up area is added on top: Rs 1,700 per sq ft for a residential building and Rs 2,300 per sq ft for a commercial one. At the FBR rate, a 10 marla residential plot in Faisal Town is worth Rs 1.59 crore for tax, against an asking average of Rs 2.62 crore. ## Can I use a house in Faisal Town commercially?

Only on roads where LDA allows it, and only after you pay a conversion fee. LDA keeps lists of roads where commercial use can be allowed. The Auditor-General's 2018-19 audit of LDA lists these roads in or next to Faisal Town:

The audit puts Abu ul Hasan Isfahani Road on both lists and doesn't say why; it may be different stretches of the road. That audit covers 2018-19, so ask LDA's town planning office for your road's current status and the exact segment.

Under LDA's Land Use Regulations 2020, the fee to use a plot on a List-A road commercially is **20% of the commercial value** of the whole plot, as given in the valuation table. The scrutiny fee is Rs 5,000 up to 1 kanal, Rs 10,000 up to 2 kanal and Rs 20,000 above that. You can pay 20% upfront and the rest in seven equal instalments over two or three years, or get 5% off by paying in full within 45 days of the first demand challan. LDA no longer takes new applications for temporary or annual commercialization.

## How often does LDA seal properties in Faisal Town?

Often. LDA's Town Planning Wing sealed properties in Faisal Town in at least five operations we could trace to a dated report:

The reports give combined counts, so we can't say how many were in Faisal Town alone. In December 2025, LDA Director General Tahir Farooq said the action against illegal commercial buildings and fee defaulters will continue.

**Check the commercialization record before you buy or rent:** The Auditor-General found in 2018-19 that LDA kept no record of commercialized properties. Before you buy or rent a Faisal Town house for a school, academy, clinic or office, ask the owner for LDA's commercialization challan and receipts for that exact plot.

## What is changing around Faisal Town?

The main change is on Maulana Shaukat Ali Road. In December 2021, LDA restarted work to make it a signal-free corridor from Jinnah Hospital to Peco Road, with an underpass at Akbar Chowk. LDA's chief engineer said no land had to be acquired.

## Where the sources disagree

Wikipedia lists four blocks, A to D, while Zameen Index only has block pages for A, B and C. Zameen's 1 kanal rent average of Rs 4.37 lakh is almost the same as Gulberg's, even though Faisal Town houses sell for less; that series was flat for months, so we don't read much into it. The LDA Land Use Regulations 2020 we quote are a copy hosted by a law firm, not by LDA.
