# FDA approved societies in Faisalabad: the register, the counts and how to check (Oct 2026)

FDA approved societies in Faisalabad are the schemes the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) lists as approved on its register of private housing schemes. On **26 October 2026** it listed **793 schemes: 197 approved, 229 under process and 367 illegal**. Only "approved" means the FDA has approved the scheme. We read the register directly on 26 October 2026.

The register gives each scheme's name, chak number, status and sometimes its area and plot count. It gives no approval date, developer or payment plan, so an "approved" entry tells you the status today, not when or on what terms.

Counts move. A copy of the register on a property aggregator, undated, showed 192 approved, 232 under process and 368 illegal, so the numbers have shifted between snapshots. Use the FDA's live register, not a copy.

## Which well-known Faisalabad societies are approved?

These are entries on the register on 26 October 2026. Several schemes share a name across chaks and phases, so match the chak number as well as the name.

Names alone can mislead. In October 2018 the FDA named 73 schemes as unapproved, including Park View Homes and the Faisalabad Lawyers Cooperative Housing Society, according to Dawn. Both now appear as approved. A scheme's status can change in either direction, so check it on the day you pay.

## Which new schemes has the FDA approved?

The register shows no approval dates, so we can't say which approvals are the newest. Three approved entries carry layout maps uploaded in 2025 or 2026: **AJS Housing** (Chak 215/RB, map uploaded May 2025), **Gulberg Housing** (Chak 61/GB and 120/GB) and **Rafi Villas** (Chak 119/GB), both uploaded in May 2026. An upload date is not an approval date, and the register leaves area and plot counts blank for these three.

We found no news report from the last 18 months naming a new Faisalabad launch with an approval date, and no source for installment plans, so we don't list any here.

Two things changed how the FDA approves schemes:

- In March 2026 the FDA approved reforms under the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules 2021: a digital approval system, standard NOCs, monitoring and enforcement, and regulation of advertising, Zameen News reported.
- The Faisalabad 2021-41 master plan was approved by the FDA board in December 2022, struck down by the Lahore High Court for lacking an environmental impact assessment, and the FDA's appeal was dismissed on 15 September 2025. The Express Tribune reported on 6 October 2026 that the FDA is therefore approving new layouts under the 2015 Peri-Urban Structure Plan. We could not confirm whether this affects the three layouts above.

The FDA's own site was unreliable for us: the register feed loaded on 26 October 2026, but other FDA addresses did not respond. If the page won't load for you, call or visit the FDA office. In July 2022 it said it can confirm a scheme's land ownership, layout plan and approval status.

## How do I check a Faisalabad society before paying?

1. Get the scheme's full name and **chak number** from the developer. The same name is often used for several chaks and phases.
2. Find it on the FDA's private housing schemes register and note the status. Only **Approved** counts; treat "Under process" as not approved.
3. Ask the FDA office for the approved layout plan and compare it with the plot on site. The FDA warned in 2022 that some developers show maps that don't match the real location.
4. Check the plot number against the layout, and ask for the seller's ownership documents.

No. A scheme listed as under process has not been approved. Palm City and Paramount City (Chak 239/RB) are listed under process on the register, and the FDA halted 24 schemes in the same area in January 2025.
