A JS Bank credit card comes in four Visa types: **Classic**, **Gold**, **Platinum** and **Signature**. As of JS Bank's July to December 2026 schedule, the annual fee is **Rs 5,000**, **Rs 8,500**, **Rs 15,000** or **Rs 20,000**. Spend enough in the first month and the fee drops to **Rs 1,200 to Rs 7,700**. ## What are the JS Bank credit card types and charges?

The table puts the four cards side by side. Fees are from the Schedule of Charges for July to December 2026, and limits from JS Bank's credit card page as of 22 October 2026.

| | Classic | Gold | Platinum | Signature |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Annual fee (basic) | Rs 5,000 | Rs 8,500 | Rs 15,000 | Rs 20,000 |
| Reduced fee if you spend in month 1 | Rs 1,200 | Rs 1,800 | Rs 3,100 | Rs 7,700 |
| Spend needed in month 1 | Rs 25,000 | Rs 50,000 | Rs 1 lakh | Rs 1.5 lakh |
| Supplementary card | Rs 2,000 | Rs 3,500 | Rs 6,500 | Rs 8,000 |
| Credit limit | Rs 99,999 | Rs 349,999 | Up to Rs 3 million | Not shown on the page |
| Card replacement | Rs 1,200 | Rs 1,500 | Rs 2,000 | Rs 4,000 |

There is no joining fee. A chip maintenance fee of **Rs 1,150** a year applies to every card. The Key Fact Statement says government levies and taxes, including FED (federal excise duty), are charged on top.

## How do I get the JS Bank annual fee cut?

Spend the amount in the table within **1 month of activating the card**, then call the call centre. The Key Fact Statement says the fee applies from the first year and is reduced once you've met the retail spending. It is a cut, not a full waiver: Classic still costs Rs 1,200.

Supplementary cards work the same way. Classic drops from Rs 2,000 to Rs 1,000 on Rs 25,000 of spending, and Signature from Rs 8,000 to Rs 7,200 on Rs 1.5 lakh.

If your salary goes into a JS Bank account through Employee Banking, the first year's fee is reversed with no spending rule. The card must be activated and your first salary credited within three months of the card being issued.

## What is the JS Bank credit card markup?

As of the July to December 2026 schedule, JS Bank charges:

| Charge | Rate or fee |
|---|---|
| Unpaid purchases | 49.99% a year (4.16% a month) |
| Cash advance | 48% a year (4% a month) |
| Balance transfer / Cash on Call | 36% a year (3% a month) |
| Late payment | Rs 2,400 or 10% of the minimum due, whichever is higher |
| Over-limit fee | Rs 1,500 |
| Autopay rejection | Rs 2,000 |

You get up to **51 days** interest-free on purchases if you clear the full balance by the due date. If you pay only the minimum or part of the bill, service charges run from the transaction date. The minimum payment is 5% of each part of the balance (purchases, cash, fees and markup) plus any installment and over-limit amount, or **Rs 500**, whichever is higher.

## How does the JS Bank credit card installment plan work?

JS Bank has two installment products, priced by length in the July to December 2026 schedule:

| Plan | 12 months | 24 months | 36 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Card Instalment Plan (purchases) | 32% a year | 34% a year | 36% a year |
| Cash on Instalment (cash from your limit) | 40% a year | 42% a year | 44% a year |

The Card Instalment Plan has a processing fee of **Rs 1,000 or 1%** of the amount. Closing a plan early costs Rs 1,000 or 5%, whichever is higher. The schedule takes the 5% of the booking amount, while the Key Fact Statement says 5% of the principal still owed.

Cash on Instalment lets you take up to **75% of your limit** as cash and repay it monthly, according to the product page. You can also buy products through **JS Smart** on installments; JS Bank's October 2026 newsletter advertised the iPhone 18 Pro this way. For how card installment plans compare across banks, see [credit card installment plans](/money/guides/credit-card-installment-plans/).

## What is the JS Bank credit card limit?

JS Bank's credit card page lists these limits as of 22 October 2026: **Rs 99,999** on Classic, **Rs 349,999** on Gold and **up to Rs 3 million** on Platinum. The same page mentions limits of up to Rs 4 million in its benefits list without naming a card, so we haven't put a figure against Signature.

You can withdraw **50% to 75%** of your available limit as cash on any card, according to the Key Fact Statement. An optional Excess Over Limit facility lets you go up to 5% over your limit, but each time you do, the Rs 1,500 over-limit fee applies.

The **JS Student Credit Card** has a limit of up to **Rs 40,000** and no annual fee, according to JS Bank's student card page.

## What are the JS Bank credit card requirements?

The credit card page lists a minimum salary of **Rs 70,000 a month**. It doesn't publish separate amounts for each card or rules for self-employed applicants. JS Bank's FAQ says eligibility depends on your age, income, job and credit history.

For what banks look at in general, including your credit record, see [how to apply for a credit card](/money/guides/how-to-apply-for-credit-card/).

4. **Sign the Key Fact Statement.** It lists the fees, markup and minimum payment. You sign it along with the bank's staff.

To pay your bill automatically, JS Bank offers auto-debit from a JS Bank account on the due date, for the minimum or the full amount. You set it up by calling 021 111 654 321. Don't also pay through another channel on the due date, or the bank may collect twice.

JS Bank charges **Rs 450 or 5%** of the transaction, whichever is higher, as of the July to December 2026 schedule. Compare other banks' foreign charges in our [credit cards compared](/money/guides/credit-cards-pakistan-compared/) guide.

**Small fees add up:** SMS alerts cost Rs 100 a month, if you agree to them. Paying a utility bill through the JS Mobile app with the card costs Rs 100 each time, and a paper statement Rs 300 a month unless you choose e-statements only. All figures are from the July to December 2026 schedule.

Credit Protector is optional insurance from EFU Life, sold through JS Bank. It pays off your balance if you die in an accident or become permanently disabled, and pays you or your beneficiaries an equal amount. It costs **0.58% of your outstanding balance each month**.

By our calculation, on a Rs 1 lakh statement balance that is Rs 580 a month. JS Bank asks for your consent on the application form, so you can leave it out.
