## Summary

Faysal Bank has been a fully Islamic bank since its December 2022 licence, so its savings accounts share profit instead of paying a fixed rate. Its main savings accounts paid 6.37% for July 2026, against the 10% minimum at conventional banks. The January to June 2026 schedule shows no minimum balance on its listed accounts. The Asaan Digital Current Account opens with a CNIC, holds up to Rs 3 million and allows Rs 1 million of debits a month.

## Key facts

- Savings profit (Jul 2026): 6.37%
- Minimum balance (Jan–Jun 2026): None on listed accounts
- Asaan account limit: Rs 30 lakh credit
- Other bank's ATM: Rs 35

The Faysal Bank account to open depends on whether you want profit and how much paperwork you have. Every Faysal Bank account is Islamic: its main savings accounts shared out **6.37%** for July 2026, and the profit changes every month. Current accounts pay no profit. Faysal Bank's January to June 2026 schedule shows **no minimum balance** on any listed account. With only a CNIC, the **Asaan Digital Current Account** opens in the Burraq app and holds up to Rs 3 million.

**Faysal Bank savings profit, July 2026:** 6.37% a year (Faysal Islami Saving, Barkat Saving, Asaan Saving, Amal Women Saving, Muntazim, Life Plus and Digital Saving accounts. Declared on 4 August 2026; Islamic profit changes every month.)

**Where these details come from:** Faysal Bank's website blocked our automated checks in October 2026. Everything below comes from Faysal Bank's own rate sheets, schedule of charges, key fact sheets and account pages, as saved by the Wayback Machine between April and August 2026. The newest rates we could read are for July 2026. Ask the branch for the current month's rate and the July to December 2026 charges.

## Is Faysal Bank an Islamic bank?

Yes. The State Bank gave Faysal Bank an **Islamic banking licence** in December 2022, once all its branches had converted. Profit reported 639 branches at the time; the State Bank counted **900** Faysal Bank branches, including sub-branches, by 30 June 2026, second only to Meezan's 1,150 among Islamic banks.

This changes how its savings work. Conventional banks must pay individuals at least **10%** on savings up to Rs 1 crore (as of September 2026). Islamic savings aren't under that rule. Faysal Bank invests deposits as **Mudarabah** and splits the pool's profit **50:50** with depositors, then declares the rate after the month ends. For the trade-offs, see [Islamic vs conventional banking](/money/guides/islamic-vs-conventional-banking/) and [Meezan Bank vs other banks](/money/guides/meezan-bank-vs-other-banks/).

## Which Faysal Bank account should I open?

| You want | Faysal Bank account | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly profit | Faysal Islami Saving or Barkat Saving | 6.37% for July 2026, paid monthly |
| Profit with simpler paperwork | Asaan Saving | Same 6.37%, paid every six months |
| An everyday account | Current Account | No minimum balance in the Jan–Jun 2026 schedule; current accounts earn no real profit |
| An account with only a CNIC, online | Asaan Digital Current | Burraq app; Rs 3 million limit |
| A women's savings account | Amal Women Saving | Monthly profit, discounts on financing |
| A fixed term | Barkat Investment Certificate | 6.50% to 7.00% for one year (July 2026) |
| To get paid from abroad as a freelancer | Mahir Freelancer & IT Exporter | Listed by the bank; ask the branch for terms |

The bank's account list (August 2026) also has Muntazim, Life Plus, Mubarak Safar and Khushaal Kisaan savings accounts, a MxD Youth Asaan account, Rehmat current accounts and remittance accounts.

## What is the Faysal Bank saving account profit rate in 2026?

Faysal Bank's rate sheet gives one rate to almost all its individual rupee savings accounts. These are the actual rates declared for each month of 2026 that we could read.

| Month (2026) | Profit rate |
|---|---|
| January | 6.01% |
| February | 6.57% |
| March | 6.42% |
| April | 5.81% |
| May | 6.03% |
| June | 6.15% |
| July | 6.37% |

The same rate applied to the Faysal Islami Saving Account, Barkat Saving, Amal Women Saving, Asaan Digital Saving, Muntazim, Life Plus and Minor Saving accounts. The Asaan Saving and Muntazim Saving accounts pay it every six months; the others pay monthly.

On a Rs 1,000 balance, Faysal Bank's own key fact sheet shows **Rs 5.13 a month** at June's 6.15%. On Rs 1 lakh at 6.37%, that's roughly Rs 530 a month before tax. A conventional account at 10% would pay about Rs 830. To compare banks, see [savings account profit rates](/money/guides/savings-account-profit-rates/) and [monthly profit on Rs 1 lakh to 1 crore](/money/guides/bank-profit-per-month/).

**Current accounts pay nothing:** Remunerative current accounts, such as Amal Women Current and the Youth Current Account, were declared at 0.01%. Treat them as no-profit accounts. One exception on the sheet was the Hamara Pakistan Remit Plus current account at 7.19% for July 2026.

### Faysal Bank fixed term rates

**Barkat Investment Certificates** are Faysal Bank's term deposits. For July 2026, one year paid at maturity earned:

| Amount | 1 year, at maturity | 1 year, monthly profit |
|---|---|---|
| Under Rs 10 lakh | 6.50% | 5.75% |
| Rs 10 lakh to just under Rs 1 crore | 6.75% | 6.00% |
| Rs 1 crore to just under Rs 5 crore | 7.00% | 6.25% |

A three-month certificate paid 5.00% to 5.50%. For other banks, see [fixed deposit rates in Pakistan](/money/guides/fixed-deposit-rates-pakistan/).

## What are Faysal Bank account charges?

These are from the Islamic banking schedule for **January to June 2026**, the newest we could read. Card fees are from key fact sheets saved in August 2026, which are lower than the January schedule.

| Service | Charge |
|---|---|
| Minimum monthly average balance | None on listed rupee accounts |
| Withdrawal at a Faysal Bank ATM | Free |
| Withdrawal at another bank's ATM | Rs 35 |
| Transfer to another bank (IBFT), app or ATM | Free |
| Raast | Free |
| Cheque book | Rs 20 a leaf |
| Pay order | Rs 520 |
| SMS alerts for branch transactions | Rs 275 a month or Rs 2,250 a year, plus FED |
| SMS alerts for digital transactions | Free |
| PayPak debit card, a year (Aug 2026) | Rs 2,100 |
| Mastercard Classic / Gold debit card (Aug 2026) | Rs 2,100 / Rs 3,100 |
| Duplicate statement | Rs 35 |

The schedule puts no monthly cap on free transfers to other banks. At Allied Bank, by comparison, IBFT is free only up to Rs 25,000 a month (July to December 2026); see [bank charges in Pakistan](/money/guides/bank-charges-pakistan/).

Faysal Bank also runs a **free banking offer**: current accounts opened after 14 July 2025 get free cheque books, pay orders, a free first-year PayPak card and a free first-year SMS bundle. Savings accounts opened after that date get free pay orders. Older accounts get free cheque books, pay orders and duplicate statements if the previous month's average balance was **Rs 50,000** or more.

## What is the Faysal Bank Asaan account limit?

The **Asaan Digital Current Account** key fact sheet (August 2026) gives:

- **Maximum credit balance: Rs 3,000,000.**
- **Debits: up to Rs 1,000,000 a month.**
- Only one Asaan account per person. If you go over the limit, you can convert it into a regular account.

These match the State Bank's limits for every bank's Asaan account. It's a Qard account, so your money is repayable on demand but earns no profit, and no zakat is deducted. New-to-bank customers get the PayPak card and SMS alerts free for the first year. The bank pitches it at daily wage earners, students and homemakers. See [Asaan account](/money/guides/asaan-account/).

## How do I open a Faysal Bank account online?

Faysal Bank's digital accounts open in its **Burraq** app. The Amal Women Digital Saving Account can also be opened on the website.

1. **Download the Burraq app** and choose the account, such as the Asaan Digital Current Account.
2. **Enter your CNIC details.** The Asaan Digital account needs only a CNIC.
3. **Finish biometric verification.** The State Bank requires NADRA verification before any account opens.
4. **Keep your tracking ID.** Under State Bank rules, the bank must accept or decline within 2 working days of complete documents.

For other banks' apps, see [open a bank account online](/money/guides/open-bank-account-online/).

## What documents do I need to open a Faysal Bank account?

Faysal Bank's Amal Women Digital Saving page (August 2026) lists:

- **Salaried:** CNIC or SNIC (or NICOP, POC, ARC or passport), plus a certificate from your employer, a service card or a recent salary slip.
- **Self-employed:** the same ID, plus proof of earnings or of your business.
- **Minor (child):** the child's B-form, birth certificate or student ID card, plus the guardian's ID. If the adult isn't the legal guardian, a court order is needed. See [student bank accounts](/money/guides/student-bank-account-pakistan/).

Faysal Bank's Asaan Digital key fact sheet (August 2026) says an account with no activity for **12 months** becomes dormant, and you have to visit your branch with an original ID to reactivate it.

## Which Faysal Bank account suits women?

The **Amal Women** accounts come as savings, current and Asaan versions. The digital savings account pays the monthly declared rate (6.15% for June 2026), needs **Rs 1,000** to open and has no minimum balance after that. Amal account holders also get 50% off the processing fee and lower rates on Faysal Bank financing: KIBOR + 2% on home finance, KIBOR + 3% on car finance and a fixed 20% on personal finance.
