The CM Punjab Himmat Card pays **Rs 10,500 a quarter** to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Punjab who can't work. You qualify if Punjab's Social Welfare Department has certified your disability and assessed you as **not fit to work**, your **PMT score is 45 or below**, and you get no BISP, Zakat or similar aid. About **100,000 cards** had been issued by August 2026. You register on the **DPMIS portal** and the helpline is **1312**.

**Is it open?** The programme is running: Phase III started on 5 Nov 2025, and the 2026-27 Punjab budget raised its allocation to **Rs 5 billion**. As of 18 October 2026 we found no announced date for a new intake.

**Himmat Card stipend:** Rs 10,500 a quarter (Rs 42,000 a year. Social Welfare Department, Government of the Punjab, as of 18 Oct 2026)

## How much does the Himmat Card pay?

The card pays **Rs 10,500 every quarter**, the Social Welfare Department says. That's Rs 42,000 a year. The department says other services it announces for PWDs will later be given through the same card.

The money goes into a **Bank of Punjab** account. Beneficiaries open the account at tehsil-level camps and get an ATM card for **fee-free withdrawals** at ATMs and branchless banking agents, The Nation reported when the scheme began. You get an **SMS** with the payment details each quarter, according to the DPMIS FAQ.

## What are the Himmat Card requirements?

The Social Welfare Department lists six conditions:

- **Certified disability.** A disability certificate from Social Welfare Punjab.
- **Not fit to work.** The assessment must say you can't work.
- **No job.** You aren't employed in a government or private office.
- **No other aid.** You haven't recently had a grant from Bait-ul-Maal, the Zakat Fund, PSPA (Punjab Social Protection Authority) or BISP.
- **PMT score of 45 or below.** This is the poverty score from BISP's household survey.
- **Updated DPMIS record.** Your CNIC, address, mobile number, education and experience are up to date on DPMIS (the Disabled Persons Management Information System).

Your CNIC must be registered in Punjab and must not be expired, the DPMIS FAQ said in August 2025. There's **no age limit**: a child with a certified disability can qualify, with the parent or guardian considered on the child's behalf.

**BISP or Himmat Card, not both:** If you receive financial aid from BISP, PSPA or Zakat, you aren't eligible for the Himmat Card, the DPMIS FAQ said (archived August 2025). Both use the same PMT survey score: see our [BISP 8171 guide](/money/guides/bisp-8171/) for how it works.

## How do I apply for the Himmat Card?

1. **Get your disability certificate.** You need one from Punjab's Social Welfare Department, with an assessment of whether you are fit to work.
2. **Register on DPMIS.** The department's Himmat Card page links to registration at **dpmis.punjab.gov.pk/register**. Enter your CNIC (or the child's B-form), address, mobile number, education and experience.
3. **Wait for shortlisting.** The department shortlists eligible people whose DPMIS data is complete. If your data is incomplete, update it on DPMIS.
4. **Open the bank account.** Shortlisted people open a Bank of Punjab account at a camp and receive the card.
5. **Get paid quarterly.** Watch for the SMS each quarter.

We couldn't open the DPMIS portal on 18 October 2026, so the steps above come from the Social Welfare Department's page and an archived copy of the DPMIS FAQ from August 2025.

## How do I check my Himmat Card verification status?

Check online on DPMIS's **Himmat Card verification page** (dpmis.punjab.gov.pk/himmatcard-verification), or ask at your Social Welfare office.

If you were verified but haven't got a card, it may be a numbers issue. The first two batches were limited to **65,000 people**, chosen first-come, first-served among those with clean data. Others could be added in later batches, the FAQ said.

## How many people get the Himmat Card?

The scheme has grown in phases:

| Phase | When | Cards |
|---|---|---|
| I and II | From Aug 2024 | 40,000 + 25,000 (30% for women) |
| III | From 5 Nov 2025 | 100,000 in total that year |
| Target | 2026 | 200,000 (Social Welfare Minister, Nov 2025) |

The Friday Times reported in August 2026 that **100,000 PWDs** had been issued the card. We found no figure showing whether the 200,000 target has been reached.

## What is the Himmat Card complaint number?

Call the Social Welfare Department's helpline, **1312**, or visit your district or tehsil Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal camp office. Go there too if your fingerprint doesn't match during verification, or if you have the card but no payment after the quarter ends.

**Registration is through DPMIS only:** The department's own page sends you to dpmis.punjab.gov.pk to register. We found no official warning about fake Himmat Card messages, but registration and shortlisting run through DPMIS and Social Welfare offices, so treat any caller or link asking for money or your bank PIN as a scam.

## What else does Punjab offer persons with disabilities?

The Friday Times listed two other Punjab programmes in August 2026: free wheelchairs and assistive devices (18,000 people helped by 30 Jun 2026), and **Rs 12,000 a month** for visually impaired people who can work, initially for 5,000 people.
