An Askari Bank credit card is a Mastercard in four main types: **Classic, Gold, Platinum and World**. From Askari's schedule of charges effective **10 July 2026**, the annual fee is **Rs 5,500, Rs 12,000, Rs 20,500 and Rs 25,000**, plus government taxes. Classic, Gold and Platinum get **50% off** the fee if you use half your limit within 2 months. Any balance you don't pay in full costs up to **42% a year** (44.4% on World).

**Cost of a cash advance on an Askari card:** Rs 1,500 or 3.5%, plus 39.6% a year (The fee is whichever is higher. Service charges of 3.30% a month then run on the cash. From Askari's schedule of charges effective 10 July 2026.)

## What are the Askari Bank credit card charges in 2026?

All figures are from the credit card section of Askari's schedule of charges addendum for the second half of 2026. Its heading says **effective 10 July 2026**, though the file name says 1 July.

| | Classic | Gold | Platinum | World |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Annual fee (basic) | Rs 5,500 | Rs 12,000 | Rs 20,500 | Rs 25,000 |
| Fee waiver | 50% off on 50% use | 50% off on 50% use | 50% off on 50% use | None |
| Supplementary card | Rs 3,000 | Rs 6,500 | Rs 11,000 | Rs 14,000 |
| Markup on unpaid purchases | 3.5% a month (42% a year) | 3.5% a month (42% a year) | 3.5% a month (42% a year) | 3.7% a month (44.4% a year) |
| Card replacement | Rs 1,100 | Rs 1,300 | Rs 1,500 | Rs 1,800 |
| Lounge access | No | No | Yes, +1 guest | Yes, +2 guests |

Askari also lists a **Corporate card** (Rs 5,500, no waiver), the **Awami card** for existing customers only (Rs 2,700, no waiver), and **PIA co-brand cards** at Rs 6,000 (Classic), Rs 9,000 (Gold) and Rs 11,000 (Platinum), also with no waiver. The markup on Awami cards is 3.7% a month, the same as World.

All government taxes are charged on top.

## How does the Askari annual fee waiver work?

On Classic, Gold and Platinum, you get **50% off the annual fee** if you use **50% of your total credit limit within 2 months** of the card being issued or renewed. Supplementary Classic, Gold, Platinum and World cards have the same rule. The basic World card has no waiver.

Our example: a Gold card with a Rs 2 lakh limit. Use Rs 1 lakh within 2 months and the fee drops from Rs 12,000 to Rs 6,000. The rule depends on your limit, not a fixed amount, so a higher limit means more spending to qualify.

[MCB](/money/guides/mcb-credit-cards/), for comparison, reverses the full fee on a fixed spend. Askari gives back only half.

## How much does Askari charge for cash withdrawal on a credit card?

A cash advance costs **Rs 1,500 or 3.5% of the amount, whichever is higher**. Service charges of **3.30% a month (39.60% a year)** then run on the cash.

Our calculation: on Rs 20,000, 3.5% is Rs 700, so you pay the Rs 1,500 minimum. The 3.5% only applies above about Rs 42,900.

Askari's **Cash for Card** plan turns part of your limit into cash you repay in installments. It costs **3% a month (36% a year)**, plus a processing fee of Rs 1,500 or 3.75%, whichever is higher.

## What are Askari's other credit card charges?

| Charge | Fee (from 10 July 2026) |
|---|---|
| Late payment | Rs 2,200 each time |
| Foreign currency and DCC transactions | 4.85% of the amount |
| Extended Payment Plan (EPP) | 3% a month (36% a year) |
| Flexible Credit Plan (FCP) | 2% a month (24% a year) |
| Balance transfer (with or without installments) | 2% a month (24% a year) |
| Processing: FCP, EPP, Cash for Card | Rs 1,500 or 3.75%, whichever is higher |
| Processing: balance transfer | Rs 1,200 or 3.2%, whichever is higher |
| Early termination of a plan | Rs 1,500 or 5.5% of what's left, whichever is higher |
| Chip maintenance fee | Rs 1,200 (basic), Rs 700 (supplementary) |
| Bill or utility payment by card | Rs 70 per payment |
| Limit enhancement | Rs 1,200 |
| Card upgrade | Rs 1,350 |
| Cheque return | Rs 1,500 |
| SMS alerts | Free |

The **4.85%** foreign charge applies to every non-rupee transaction. It also applies to dynamic currency conversion, where a merchant outside Pakistan charges you in rupees. That is higher than MCB's 4% and Faysal's 4.5% on their cards. For installment plans at other banks, see [credit card installment plans](/money/guides/credit-card-installment-plans/).

**Credit cover is optional:** Askari can add a credit cover premium of 0.48% of your outstanding balance, but only with your consent. Customers over 65 aren't eligible. Check your statement if you didn't ask for it.

## Which Askari credit card is best?

None is best for everyone. On Askari's published terms:

- **Classic** (Rs 5,500) is the cheapest to hold, and the waiver halves it.
- **Platinum** (Rs 20,500) is the cheapest card with **lounge access** in Askari's benefits table. On international travel you get lounges at all Pakistani airports, plus 1 guest.
- **World** (Rs 25,000, no waiver) adds a second guest and lounges at selected airports on domestic travel. It also charges more markup (44.4% a year).

The lounges Askari lists are the Majestic lounge at Karachi and CIP lounges at Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Sialkot, at **Rs 1 a person** per visit. World and Platinum also include business lounges at international airports. For how Askari compares with other banks' lounge cards, see [lounge access cards](/money/guides/lounge-access-cards-pakistan/).

2. **Apply.** Go to a branch, call Askari's 24-hour contact centre on 051-111-000-787, or leave your details on Askari's card page for a call back.

4. **Add family cards if you want.** You can add up to 5 supplementary cards for family members over 18.

## Does Askari deduct tax on international card spending?

Yes, as with every bank. Banks collect advance income tax on card payments abroad: **0.5%** if you're on FBR's Active Taxpayer List and **1%** if you're not. SBP caps card spending abroad at **US$30,000 a year** per person across all banks. See [filer vs non-filer](/business/guides/filer-vs-non-filer/) and [how to pay for Netflix and ChatGPT from Pakistan](/money/guides/netflix-chatgpt-payment-pakistan/).

Askari is a conventional bank, with 396 separate Islamic branches as of June 2026, according to SBP.

**Where these figures come from:** Askari's website blocked us on 19 Oct 2026. The fees come from an archived copy of Askari's own schedule of charges addendum, captured on 17 Jul 2026. Eligibility and lounge details come from Askari's card pages, which we read on 8 Oct 2026. We couldn't open the reward points page or the Key Fact Statement, so points, the minimum payment and markup-free days aren't covered here.
